Cartridge and Print Head Cleaner
Our specially formulated Cartridge and Print Head Cleaner solvent, it's been designed to cut through the dried particles of ink and paper dust that normally impairs print quality.
Using it in sponge-type ink cartridges, will help rejuvenate the sponge by removing any dried ink, allowing for better absorption of new ink and restoring the print quality.
By using our Cartridge and Print Head Cleaner in sponge-type cartridges, you will be able to extend the life of your cartridge by at least 30% allowing for even more refills.
Warning: Cartridges that are left unused or stored for a long period of time may have the print nozzles clogged with dried ink. Print nozzles are very delicate and sensitive and if any substance other than a specially formulated solvent is used to clean them, damage to the nozzles and print head is likely to occur.
What is the print head? The print head is the copper block in the bottom of the cartridge where the ink comes out. Note: Not all cartridges have the print head attached to them; some printer models have the print head directly attached to the printer.
Directions of use:
To revive sponge-type cartridges:
For sponge-type cartridges with or without print head:
Inject enough cleaner into the cartridge to saturate the sponge and allow it to sit on a bowl or at the sink in an upright position with the print head or outlet port facing down and making contact with a paper towel for about one hour to draw out the cleaning solution. By performing this step you will be removing dried particles of ink from the sponge and prolonging the life of it, allowing for even more refills!
We strongly recommend this step on every 3rd refill.
To unclog print heads attached to the printer with non print head cartridges:
Inject into the cartridge 2ml of Cartridge and Print Head Cleaner. Re-install the cartridge in the printer and run cleaning cycles (as per your printer instruction manual) until the print quality has been restored. This step will remove the dried ink and/or debris from the print head preventing the new ink from comming out.
To unclogg cartridges with print head:
Using a container such as a bowl, add Cartridge & Print Head Cleaner enough just to cover the print head and allow it to soak for 15 - 30 minutes to dilute the dried ink and/or remove debris clogging the print head.
Note: For tough to unclog cartridges, warming up the Cartridge & Print Head Cleaner will achieve faster results.
